My 2017 Reading List is looking really good and I’m proud of myself. This book was recommended to me and I’m glad I decided to check it out and read it.

I started reading it on my phone but then I moved it to my laptop. The deepness is on a 💯!!!! Mind Platter is a compilation of reflections on the writer’s mind that touches pretty much every subject of focus in our daily lives.

I decided to write some of her thoughts from the book that hit a nerve. I didn’t wanna bombard you with everything at once so I’m sharing them in two parts. Hopefully this way, you get to pick a few and it has an impact in your life.

Enjoy….

If people want to see you as a good person, they will. If people want to see you as a bad person, absolutely nothing you do will stop them.”

Don’t ever seek refuge only in people, for if you do, they will fail you sooner or later. But if you seek refuge in and forgiveness from a power much greater than yourself, you will not be turned away, and your eyes will be opened to the right right.”

“I can tell you the truth, but I can’t make you believe it. I can tell you how I feel, but I can’t make you care.”

“Have you ever been told to treat people the way they treat you? Well, don’t do that. Treat them better than they treat you.”

“One thing that we often miss is that, when fooling others, we are only fooling ourselves.”

“We fail to be thankful for, or appreciative of, the good things that we did not ask for but which happened anyway.”

We fail to be thankful for the bad things that we did not ask to be protected against, but which did not happen.”

Our nature is to think more about yesterday and tomorrow than today. We don’t realize that today was yesterday’s tomorrow and tomorrow’s yesterday.”

“If you cannot appreciate what you don’t have before you have it, you will not appreciate it after you have it.”

People are not all born into the same environment and they are not born with the same definition of what is right and what is wrong. What we see as someone making a mistake may only be our perception that something is wrong. Their perception may be that everything is completely fine.”

“Everything you do is a learning experience and never a waste of time.”

“No one knows what you need to do more than you do. Cry when you need to its relieving ,laugh when you need to its healing.”

“Survival is not d same as living.Smiling is not the same as laughing your heart out. Thinking is not the same as having a deep conversation. Listening is not the same as really caring.”

“Say no when you need to. Not only inside, say it loudly enough to be heard.”

“Just because people don’t complain to you doesn’t mean they don’t have problems.”

15 thoughts for you to ponder on this week and hopefully forever. Watch Out for Part 2 next week!

Thanks for reading.
