Happy new month everyone, welcome to September! Today’s style post features what I wore to the vintage pop up market at African Artists’ Foundation last Saturday. A crochet top, high waisted pants and sandals.

The African Artists’ Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion and development of contemporary African art. It’s such a beautiful place filled some of the things I love most in the world; art and books. I had a fun experience at the vintage pop-up market; from the old school photo booth to old books on sale, palmwine, vintage wears and accessories.

The top I have on was a gift from my sister Laitan and I treasure it so much. It’s a rsee through, really light and easy on the eyes piece. I also like the colour too. It’s in between orange and brown and I’m not sure I have any other thing in this shade.

I decided to pair it with white as I couldn’t think of any other colour that would be nicer. So, white camisole, white pants and a mostly white pair of sandals. This combination took little or no effort at all. I was inspired to do this because I had tried it before in One Top, Two Ways.

The pants and sandals have been in my possession for some time. I bought the pants in 2015 and my Mum got me the sandals same year. Guess what? I found the sandals during my closet declutter as well. If you have been reading my style posts and you haven’t decluttered, it’s time you do. You will find amazing pieces you didn’t remember you had.

I liked the grass detail in the backyard so much so I took some photos.

I clearly need to start making more effort with my poses. Spot my bracelets, I bought them there.
