Hi y’all, Happy Easter! Hope you had a good easter celebration. We’ve been waiting for this holiday since last year because its always a long holiday. The kind everyone prays for (Thursday to Monday) and it was nice having everyone at home on the weekdays. I did a lot of cooking and feeding but thank goodness I managed to get my workouts in.

I’m working on getting back to regular programming and part of that includes frequent style posts. If you are new here, then you’re lucky you’re catching a style post. My style is pretty much anything I’m comfortable in, old or new. I haven’t put up a photo of me all dressed up for the blog since January so let’s get on with this look.

For this look, I put together a flowery layered crop top and wide legged pants. Both old, loose and bright.

The funny thing about these pieces is that I didn’t buy both of them. They were given to me by my sisters (yes, different sisters). Now, I have worn this top on several occasions with shorts, high waisted pants or skirt. The pants on the other hand had never been worn. Well, mostly because it didn’t fit to my satisfaction and every time I thought I would finally wear it, it always ended up back in my closet.

I paired them with my classic black two strap sandals and decided to lose my purse for the photos. I accessorized with big loop earrings and sunglasses to give it a sunny day vibe even though the sun wasn’t shining this day.

After getting dressed, my next mission was to find a place to get photographed at. Then i remembered Barbar and thought to give it a try. The fact that there was no sun out didn’t help much but the drums and wood acted as props and made the photos come alive.

The pants refused to stay on my belly though so my belly button was out on display sometimes – see this grown ass woman flaunting her tommy. I’m a big advocate of wearing what you like regardless of your age as long as you’re comfortable and can strut in it.

I tried to be as natural as possible in my photos and did a couple of different things.

Let me know what you think of this look in the comments. Have you ever worn a loose top over loose pants?

Thanks for reading.

  1. Hello! I know this is kinda off topic however , I’d figured I’d ask. Would you be interested in trading links or maybe guest writing a blog article or vice-versa? My website covers a lot of the same subjects as yours and I think we could greatly benefit from each other. If you might be interested feel free to send me an email. I look forward to hearing from you! Fantastic blog by the way!
