It usually begins slow

till you start talking everyday

the early morning messages

and phone calls for hours

you become friends first

then you start thinking of what should come next

I becomes “we” and “us”

and you can’t help but feel that maybe this is it; love

you’re happy

and you think you’re in love

but along the line

something happens

that you can’t explain

the calls stop

and sometimes a week goes by

without hearing from each other

and just like that

you become strangers

and life goes on

until another one comes your way.

Poem|What Went Wrong

  4. One sign you might be falling in love is that you keep talking. Scientists say that people fall in love after exchanging 168 text messages at “odd” hours. 😀 I don’t know if that is true. However, one sign you are falling apart is that you slowly or abruptly stop talking. The love wheels are greased by continuous healthy communication.
This is an amazing poem .🖤
    Happy Thanksgiving 🧡

    1. 😂😂😂 @ 168 text messages at “odd” hours. But if it was “love” in the first place, why did you fall apart at all? One person should bring things back to the way they were before🤷🏻‍♀️
      Thank you!!!
Happy Thanksgiving to you too, eat for two cos we don’t celebrate here.

  5. They are afraid to let go of past and fall again. No trust. Too much glitter out there and someone else caught them (temporarily again).
