Short Poems About Love – VOL #4

In the spirit of Valentine’s week, I’m back with a fourth of edition of short poems about love.

1) I LOVE YOU
I don’t care if it’s too early
I know what I feel
I love you

POEM| A Piece of Me

Will you take a little piece of me everywhere you go?

It can be my soft voice
Or the way I call your name
It can be my silly laugh
Or the way my smile makes you smile too

POEM| The Sky

The sky holds a promise
and none can compare
It’s clear and true
It’s bright and blue

POEM| True Love

It isn’t crushing
It isn’t confusing
It isn’t assuming
It isn’t misleading

POEM| Together

I hope we’ll
learn together
give together
play together
try together
cry together

POEM| You Were Never Mine

maybe I took you for granted
maybe I didn’t understand you
maybe I didn’t care enough
maybe I didn’t put you first

The February writing challenge was organized by The African Writers, a community dedicated to promoting, developing and connecting the new generation of African writers.
