Workchic: One Blouse, Two Ways

Workchic: One Blouse, Two Ways

Hi there, happy hump day! I styled my blouse two ways and I’m basically just showing it off to you today in this post. I have always loved blouses with ropes that define the waist. I think it’s ladylike and chic especially when you can tie the rope in front too. So when I saw this blouse online, I fell in love with it.

I like the print and how basic and complex it looked at the same time. I bought it recently from a Nigerian brand and was glad to discover that it feels lighter than it looks. I thought to wear it to work first before restyling it for the weekend.

The first piece that came to my mind to pair it with is my old but loyal black flare pants. I’ve owned these pants for about ten years now and I am not exaggerating. I think it’s time to buy the new wide-legged pants in vogue and give it away. Anyway, it still fits and worked well with the blouse. I’m totally loving the loose clothing trend so I try to achieve the look at least once a week. I paired the blouse and pants with my black pointed pumps and a colourful bag.

To switch things up, I took off the pants and changed into a red skirt. My desire was to show how versatile this bouse is. I was trying something new by choosing a skirt with a front slit but that’s what style is all about; combining elements and expressing in a particular, unique or consistent manner. I ditched the bag, retained my shoes and took some photos.
