Life Update| November 2019

Hello, how has life been treating you lately? I’m in London for a few days and I’m totally over the weather. If it was just the cold, I wouldn’t mind much but it’s been raining every day and the sun has been scarce.

I lost the person I love most in this city and every day I have spent here has taken me back in time to days I would rather forget. I’m not sure if I won’t ever feel some type of way whenever I’m in London but I still love it here. Being with half of my family and honouring my Mum’s memory was truly uplifting.

Can you imagine, I had to work during this my VERY short holiday and I’m ashamed of myself and my employer. To be fair, this only happened on Monday and Tuesday and the rest of the week has been a breeze but it still happened. I really need to ensure this never happens again. I understand it’s because my time off fell toward the end of the month where things like salary and pension are attended to. I already did my bit and I know if I had an assistant or someone else in my department I wouldn’t have done anything.

I was looking forward to taking nice aesthetic pictures and spending time with my family but the weather hasn’t let me achieve the former. Almost all my photo attempts have been an epic fail but I managed to get a few in because I don’t give up easily. The usual shopping spree was next on my agenda but this time, it wasn’t me doing most of the buying, it was my sisters for their weddings. I’m glad I was able to come to help them but I obviously picked a few things for myself along the way.

I have met up with only one friend during this holiday because I haven’t had much time to do anything really. I haven’t been able to rest and get a day in. Short holidays are the worst. I’m definitely not looking forward to going back to work but a girl has got to do what she has to do. I often wonder if my boss reads my posts lol if you’re reading TE, it’s my tired brain that is talking.

So for some reason, I thought I was gonna have some reading and writing time but I haven’t done much of either and I’m not too happy about that. Besides this post I managed to squeeze in and a few poems I wrote during my commutes, I haven’t written much and I know December is gonna be an even busier month for me.
