I’m naturally a shy girl
I keep quiet way more
than I speak
and I think my soft voice
betrays me
You won’t find me
contributing first in meetings
instigating conversations
or volunteering to host an event

But…

Time and experience
have helped me build
my self-confidence
I still have my shy moments
but I’m doing things
I thought
I’d never do
I’m facing my fears
speaking in public
making presentations
hosting
and choosing growth every day

If shyness and confidence can coexist
in a person
That person is me
I’m a shy and confident person
and you can be like me too
