February Writing Challenge: I Wrote 28 Poems In 28 Days
I did something last month that I had never done before, I wrote with writing prompts. Writing prompts are learning assignments that direct you to write about a particular topic. The February writing challenge was organized by The African Writers, a community dedicated to promoting, developing and connecting the new generation of African writers.

I feel you in my belly but I’m trying to act normal my entire body is changing and it’s all because of you

I want that happy, happiness from within, that emanates like the beam of the sun, or the sparkle of the brightest star.

If I could paint a picture of the life I want, I’ll choose lots of sunshine rainbows and butterflies. I’ll choose lots of laughter peace and joy.

Why Do We Say Things We Don’t Mean?
I find myself saying things I don’t mean often not because I wish to lie but more because I have automatic replies I’ve constructed in my head.
