It’s 8am
I’m awake but still in bed
the day is dull
and the sun isn’t out
instead, it’s raining heavily
and I don’t wanna get up
I rollover
to the other side of the bed
I want to have a me-day
no work, no worries
just fun and play
because I deserve it, right?
I contemplate
then pull the duvet over my head
put my phones on silent
and close my window blinds
no tasks, no meetings
just rest and relaxation
I’m not getting up today
