My One Year Blogversary – My Blogging Journey So Far

My blog is one year old!!!!

I received the notification below from wordpress that I registered my blog a year ago. I knew I started blogging in March but I didn’t remember the exact date. Alas, I’ve been blogging for a whole year. That’s a long time and I’ve come a long way since my first post Finding My Vision.

I started blogging to explore writing as a way to discover myself. I’m proud to say my blog has gone way beyond self discovery. So far, I have published 116 posts that’s excluding some random posts I deleted.

During this year, I discovered a lot of things about myself but the major thing that amazed me most is poetry. The first poem I posted on the blog In My Thoughts was me expressing how I felt at the time. I decided to keep writing which motivated me to write my first really good poem It’s My Day and the rest is history. I went from trying it out to reading a poem out loud and making someone shed a tear. Now, my poems are in all sorts of styles and I’ve really grown as a poet. I hope to have a book of poems published one day. If you want to read all my poems, scroll down and click on poetry in the Category bar.

I have also realized that sharing my thoughts and experiences through my motivational posts have helped me give back to anyone who might need a little pick me up including myself. The comments on these personal development posts keep me going. Posts like Get Out Bad Habit, Happiness and Life Is Tough But So Are You are really timeless.

Also, sharing my health and fitness journey with the world has equally been nice. From Why Exercise to Accessories To Help You Enjoy Working Out, My Wellness Tips to My Watermelon Diet Experience. I believe I have motivated different people around the world to take better care of their body.

Over this year, I’ve been advised to stick to a niche to get brands to work with me or affiliation but I haven’t done that. I like that I get to share all I have to offer with the world and that’s why I started blogging in the first place. I haven’t made money yet through blogging and I’m still hopeful that’s gonna happen soon.

I must admit I thought by now I would own my domain but that hasn’t happened yet and it’s still in the plan. I just want to keep writing and sharing with the world and I’m thankful to everyone who has ever read, liked or commented on my posts. Your feedback means a lot to me and I’m very grateful.

Thank you for being a part of my journey. To many more years of writing🥂

  1. Happy blog anniversary! I read both poems (LOVE Poetry) and wow those were beautifully written. I especially liked In My Thoughts because I could relate to it
