Since the first day of the month of October, my energy level has been on a high. October is my favourite month of the year because it’s my birth month. Another October 8 is here and I’m thankful I’m alive, I feel awesome and I’m happy. I know it’s just a day but it’s that one day in a whole year when everyone in my circle gets to celebrate me so I let them.

I’m usually overwhelmed on my birthday with the greetings and wishes and I end up getting emotional especially when the prayers roll in for this “husband” people are waiting for. Every year comes with surprises and this year has been no different. I received 7 huge cakes, 2 boxes of cupcakes, flowers, a fruit basket and some other gifts, and I’ve cried a couple of times today from all the love.

Last year, I shared my birthday wishes which are surprisingly still valid for this year. I also made a list of things I’d like to do before my next birthday. Though I was able to get the mentorship and volunteering done, I was unable to register in a gym, learn how to swim and visit a country on my travel list because of covid-19. I know it’s easy to blame everything on covid but in my case, it’s true. I have the details of a swimming coach and I should start my lessons soon since things are gradually getting back to normal. I’m certain I will also accomplish the other two goals before my next birthday too.

I didn’t want today to go by without sharing my thoughts on here. Right now, I’m cutting myself a big slice of cake because it’s my birthday and I can eat as much cake as I want.
