POEM| Letters From You

I long for the days
I got excited
by letters from you
I’d run up for some privacy
tear the envelope in a rush
smell it, and imagine you next to me
hold it gently, close to my heart
read it with tears in my eyes
then read it all over again
as many times as I could
until I fell asleep
thinking of what I’d write to you
and the next time we’ll meet

Even though we have phone, still letters are the best way of communication!! “i long for the days” what a great start with simple words….
