POEM| Thirsty For You

POEM| Thirsty For You

I looked into your eyes
as your fingers locked in mine
I waited for them to go up my blouse
but they didn’t

You kissed me
and as your lips grazed mine,
it tingled my insides
but then you pulled away

You touched my face
as you wrapped your arms around me
it felt good
but I wanted you to feel me up instead

You were talking to me
but my heart was racing
I was so far gone
and didn’t hear a word you said

You were moving on ten
but I wanted it to be a hundred
I was thirsty
and I showed you I was ready

About Me

I’m Mariam — writer, explorer, observer of life’s quiet and loud moments. I started this blog in March 2017 as a self-discovery space, and over the past eight years, it has grown into a home for everything that moves me and hopefully, something that moves you too. Here, you will find poetry, reflections, travel stories, lifestyle pieces, motivation, inspiration and Lagos restaurant reviews all written with honesty and heart. Enjoy!
