POEM| You Are Beautiful

POEM| You Are Beautiful

You are beautiful
your face is beautiful
your smile is beautiful
your body is beautiful
your walk is beautiful

You are beautiful
your race is beautiful
your mind is beautiful
your talent is beautiful
your work is beautiful

You are beautiful
you don’t have to hide it
you don’t have to cover it
you don’t have to deny it
you don’t have to paint it up

You don’t need to change a thing because it’s that simple. You’re beautiful.

This poem was only five lines long when I shared it on Instagram. Last night, I was about to sleep when these additional words came to me. It made it so much more beautiful.

It makes me remember when I just had my 2nd degree burn on my leg and while it was healing I was always covering it up so people don’t have to see it,will wear socks to work. Then one day I went to visit my friend’s mum and she saw me on socks and she said to me Damola, stop wearing the socks you are beautiful regardless, the courage came from no where and that was the end of sock wearing lol. Now I know the scar I have from the burn made me stronger 💪💪💪💪💪❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.
Thank you for this hun,am beautiful and I don’t have to cover it 🙏
