Sometimes we love
Sometimes we hurt
Sometimes we curse the boys together until we laugh

Sometimes we’re scared
Sometimes we’re worried
Sometimes we pray together till the anxiety fades away

Sometimes we party
Sometimes we dance
Sometimes we get drunk and act a fool

Sometimes we win
Sometimes we lose
Sometimes we encourage each other to try again

Sometimes we share
Sometimes we conceal
Sometimes we tell each other hard truths

Sometimes we’re beat
Sometimes we’re needy
Sometimes we stay on the phone for hours till we fall asleep

Sometimes we’re close
Sometimes we’re distant
But, all the time, we’re in each other’s hearts
