You may currently feel like hell, and you’re wondering if I know what I’m saying, but I assure you, difficult times pass. I know you may not believe it, but things will get easier. I know this because I’ve had a couple of difficult times where I’ve wished for the earth to swallow me whole. Times I thought I wouldn’t be me again. But here I am writing this to hold your hand as you heal from whatever it is you may be going through.
Below are some tips that will help you move forward when you’re going through a difficult time.
Exercising Helps.
- Take a walk.
- Go out to see the sun.
- Sweat.
- Count your steps.
Journaling Helps.
- Write down how to feel.
- Write down what you’re grateful for.
- Write down what you hope to achieve.
- Write a letter to your future self.
Getting Busy With Other Things Helps.
- Work
- Read a book.
- Go grocery shopping.
- Do your laundry.
- Watch a movie a four.
- Learn a new dance move.
Spending Time With Family & Friends Helps.
- Get out of the house.
- Go on a date.
- Sleepover at a friend’s.
- Spend the day with your family, especially little ones.
- Invite people over to your house.
- Accept invitations.
Talking to a Therapist Helps
- Try therapy.
- Be honest and true to yourself.
- Say exactly how you feel.
- Do the tasks you’re assigned.
- Be willing to heal.
