October is here, and I’d like to take a moment to appreciate its magic.
I’ve always viewed October as a month of gratitude and reflection. The year begins to wind down, and it’s a great time to pause and appreciate all the blessings in our lives. It’s an excellent time to appreciate yourself for all you have accomplished, look at your vision board and see what you need to focus on for the last quarter of the year. You can also express gratitude for the little things, like a warm cup of tea on a cold night or laughter shared with loved ones.
October is my birth month, and I will be a year older in a few days. I lost the birthday excitement in 2017 when I spent my birthday in the hospital, but like my Mum used to say, “Your birthday comes once a year, so you have to make sure you are happy and celebrate it.” A lot has happened this year, both good and bad, and I should feel relatively good, but I can’t shake off the empty feeling. I freaking published a book this year!!! That has to count for something.
October is the month I get back in shape. I started the Shaun T T25 workout routine from scratch. It’s been tough on my body, but I’ve decided to stick to it. My lower body is a size 12 now, the biggest I’ve been in many years. I’m not too fond of it, and I’m actively working on it for real currently.
October is the perfect time to embrace the outdoors. The breathtaking beauty of the changing leaves paints a stunning picture, which I love to photograph whenever I get the chance. The temperature is also cooler but tolerable for hiking, biking and other outdoor activities. So, get out of the house!!! Soak in the fresh air and appreciate nature. And if you celebrate Halloween, decorate and get your candy ready.
So, let’s make the most of this beautiful month. Let’s relish in the changing seasons’ beauty, embrace Halloween’s festivities, and cultivate gratitude in our hearts. October is a reminder to appreciate life’s simple joys.
Cheers to October and all the wonders it brings!
