The Terrace is a rooftop restaurant in Lekki Phase 1. It’s been around for some time, but I stopped by for the first time in August with my sister, Laitan, who was visiting Lagos from the UK.
This visit wasn’t planned, but we were due a sister date, and I dragged her here since it was close by. Here’s how our date went.
AMBIENCE
The restaurant is located on a terrace behind a building. It’s bright and vibrant, with nude-coloured furniture, minimalist light fittings, and a lot of greenery.

MENU
The food menu is categorized into seven sections with a minimum of two options per section, making it easy to choose quickly. The drink menu is loaded with many options, including cafe-type drinks, cocktails, and mocktails. There’s also a separate dessert menu, wine menu and shisha menu.

WHAT WE ORDERED
For drinks, Laitan chose a cocktail; Star Boy, while I had my go-to soda water with lemon juice. For food, we chose Spicy Turkey Tacos to start, and while Laitan chose the Grilled Jerk Chicken meal, I chose the Gourmet Chicken Sandwich.

The tacos were served a few minutes later, and we dug in. It’s great that they came in four servings, so we both got two each. It was my first time trying turkey tacos, and they were delicious. Wet, dripping and crunchy, just how I like it. Our plates were cleared, and it was time for the mains.
My sandwich was served first, and I was surprised to see that it was a burger. If you’re an avid reader of my reviews, you know I’m not a big fan of burgers because they always seem too much for me. It was too late to turn back now. Laitan’s meal was served, too, and it was time to eat.
I took a bite of my sandwich burger, which was juicy and tasty. It served its purpose. Laitan had explicitly informed the waiter that she didn’t eat soft plantain, so as soon as she saw the plantain on her plate, she made a face. Nonetheless, she enjoyed the chicken and the rice, which tasted more like fried rice than coconut rice.
SERVICE DELIVERY & CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE
When we arrived, the restaurant was hard to spot from the outside. We had to confirm our location with the parking attendant, who noticed the confusion on our faces. Once inside, we were greeted by a friendly host who seated us and introduced our waiter. The staff were warm and friendly, and our waiter helped explain the menu. Our wait time was reasonable, and when we were done eating, we were offered games to play, which was a nice touch. The restaurant paid attention to detail, providing a cute welcome card on each table and hand sanitisers. However, we did encounter a problem with flies, and despite the waiters’ efforts to address it, the issue persisted. I revisited the restaurant at night in October and had a pleasant experience with no flies in sight.
