It has trusted,
loved,
and been broken.
It has filled up,
leaked,
and then emptied.
It has widened,
collapsed,
and shrunk.
It has celebrated,
felt pain,
and grieved.
Nevertheless,
it has healed
and held onto hope.
It has patched up bruises
and filled in gaps,
again and again.
Now, it fears
mourning yet another ending.
