I’m lost
and I can’t find my way back
in the middle of the ocean  
and I can’t seem to find the shore

I’m starting to hear my heart race
as I go over my journey
from where I came from  
and where I am now
wondering how I got lost
in the middle of nowhere
all alone, by myself.

Over and over, I try to find my way
but nothing I do seems to work
it’s clear now I’m stuck
stuck in the past
stuck in what was
but I need to find my way back
back to the present
back to what is
back to you

So I keep trying
and after what seems like a lifetime
a boat appears in tow
so I put on a smile
and ask for a little help
to guide me back home
back to you
