Workchic: A Day With Polka Dot

Workchic: A Day With Polka Dot

Hiya, hope you’re having a great week.

I love polka dot pieces and I can never get enough of them. It is incredibly chic, a statement piece and will never go out of fashion so whenever I get an opportunity to add another polka dot piece to my closet, I’m always here for it.

What I love about this look is that it was unplanned. I had a wardrobe emergency and I couldn’t wear what I planned to wear to work originally. These were the first things I could find that didn’t need ironing. Yes, you read right, I didn’t have to iron my blouse and my skirt.

The polka dot blouse has been in my possession for some time, in fact, it featured in another blog post titled; How To Slay in Polka Dot, have a look. I had never worn it to work until this day because I had no choice. I love its sleeves, the lace detail behind, the way the polka dots change at the sleeves and how light it feels on the body. It’s such a chic blouse.

This peplum skirt is also an oldie that I wear just once in a while because you can’t wear a peplum skirt too often. It’s fitted to the tee and melts right into my skin. This is my only orange skirt because orange is not a colour I will easily buy but this skirt works.

I paired my outfit with black patent pumps and a black purse. I accessorized with black and gold big stud earrings and a black and gold wristwatch.

I love it when old pieces in my closet are transformed into style posts.
