POEM| You’re Always On My Mind

When the sun comes up
and its light is in my path

When I hear a song I love
and its sweet melody fills my ears

When I’m on a winning streak
and my heart is leaping with joy

When the day’s work is over
and I begin my journey home

When darkness replaces light
and the stars sparkle bright 

When life tests me
and it seems impossible to go on

When the scars fade 
and I’m no longer afraid 

You’re always on mind and always there.
