It was a good day
though everything didn’t go according to plan
We were tested
We were angered
We were stressed
We were overwhelmed
Prayers were said
Tears were shed
Voices were raised
Words were provoked
We had moments of weakness
and hid in the shadows
Time seemed to drag
and we couldn’t wait for the day to end
Everything didn’t go according to plan, but
It was a good day
