Hey guys, how’s August going? Another work week is ending today and I can’t believe the month is halfway gone. This year is definitely not slowing down at all and I’m trying to get as much in as I can because time waits for no one. I have an exciting weekend ahead; my friend is getting married tomorrow and I have a bloggers brunch on Sunday so I look forward to having a ball.

The off shoulder trend has been in for some time now and it doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere anytime soon. There are so many ad ons and variations of the trend that make the style look extra pretty just like this top I have on. It has a pretty bow right in the center and bell sleeves with a band.

I had worn this top once before in February but I wasn’t a big fan of it then. I’m not sure why anymore but it was probably because its loose. I had an event to attend during the week – An awareness for The Lagos International Drinks Festival holding in December. I was lost on what to wear because it was impromptu<I like to lay my outfits down- Outfit prep>. Then I remembered the top and I found a way to make it work.

I paired it with a bright blue denim pants, transparent mules and my mostly blue ankara purse. I figured pairing it with blue will make it pop more and I was right. I’m so proud of my styling game now because I keep getting better. This look made me see how cute the top really is and now I love it so much.

Per usual, I asked my friend to take photos of me in my outfit. It was getting dark already but I managed to get some photos.
