Take A Moment Today To Appreciate Yourself

When was the last time you acknowledged your efforts and gave yourself some appreciation for your hard work? I know you probably can’t answer this question because you don’t remember when you did that. We often forget to show ourselves that love and compassion we desperately desire from others so why not take a moment today to appreciate yourself;

for every day you have gotten out of bed
for every step you have taken till date
for every plan you have set in motion
for every dream you have made a reality
for every person you have helped do better
for every hurdle you have faced head strong
for every problem you have found a solution to
for every item you have ticked off your to-do list
for every day you have succeeded in living through

Be proud of yourself. You’ve worked hard, you’ve tried to learn and you have not quit. I hope you had a beautiful month of February and you’re ready for March and all it brings.

  1. Mariam most people don’t have time to appreciate themselves because they are busy appreciating other people and seeking approval and validation from others but it’s about time they start engaging in things that personally makes them happy and if we can do that we will appreciate life and ourselves.

    1. You’re absolutely right. It all boils down to the idea that somebody else needs to tell you you’re doing great before you believe that you are. We love attention and approval from other people so much that most of the time, we hurt ourselves without even realizing it. That’s why I created this post as a reminder.
