the sound of the waves
takes me back in time
to the memories we shared
when you were a part of me

our walks on the beach
and how fast you made my heart beat
our nights under the sheets
and lazy mornings with tea

our journey through life
and how much we grew with time
the times we were hot for each other
and the moment when things got sour

the calm
the storm
and everything in between
