Blogiversary: Three Years Down, Forever To Go

I’ve been blogging for three years!!!

If my blog was a baby, it would be talking by now lol. I can’t believe I’ve been blogging for three years. A lot has happened in the last three years and I can’t imagine writing not being a part of my life. It has helped me grow in so many ways and I’m always thankful for the fateful day on the 7th of March, 2017 when I created this blog.

The past year was really exciting and filled with a lot of writing surprises. One of them being contributing as a guest blogger on a fashion and lifestyle blog; stylevitae. I had always wanted to do that and it challenged me to dress up every other weekend and bring out my model self. I did that successfully for about two months until I got tired of dressing up.

As usual, I published more poems than every other post category. I still enjoy writing poetry more than ever and I love the vulnerability and carefreeness that comes with it. I brought some of my friends on the blog with a few collaborations that I love which include; Life As A Single & Over 30-Year-old Nigerian Woman and How Do You Know When You’re in Love? I also introduced life updates where I share a recap of how my month went.

When I started out I had no idea where writing will take me but I’m happy about where I am and where I’m going to. My blog is my safe haven where I share my thoughts with the world. It’s therapeutic for me and It’s better than every form of social media. I can be away from Instagram for weeks but I always publish at least two posts every week.

I published a total of 155 posts in the past year. Wow, I didn’t know they were that many until I checked. Writing is still a forever thing and I’d like to thank you for always coming here to read from me. Thank you for your comments, feedback and words of encouragement. It means a lot more than you will ever know.

Three years down, forever to go 🥂

  1. Hi Mariam. Your story is similar to mine. I use my blog to promote my business. My thoughts are not really shared that much there. I might take a leaf out of your book and share my thoughts too. Keep writing.
