POEM| I Want To Be Honest

I want to be honest
open and transparent
to bear my soul
when I speak,
write and relate

I want to be honest
when I’m surrounded by people
and also when no one is looking
anywhere and everywhere
every day and every time

I want to be honest
direct and truthful
to be the true version of myself
and not wonder if it makes me vulnerable

I want to be honest
and to feel safe that I am
