Dear God,

Teach me to be patient with this man.
Help me articulate my needs, wants and desires.
Remind me that friendship is important and we should be friends first, before lovers.
Help me understand him in entirety; his strengths, his weaknesses, his flaws and his needs.

Help me identify what is right and what is wrong.
Make me remember what love is and what it isn’t.
Help us build a solid foundation grounded on faith, kindness and truth.
Guide us to the best path in everything we do and everything we desire.

Teach us to forgive when we make each other angry and sad.
Show us how to place each other in every aspect of our lives: faith, work, family, leisure and adventure.
Make us remember each other when we need help, support, advice or quiet.
Help us understand that this is a new and different journey, and it should not be compared with any other relationship.

Help us stay kind to each other always.
Teach us to communicate and comprehend.
Give us the strength we need each day to be reliable and dependable.
Remind us to pray and let you lead our relationship forward to unimaginable places.
