STYLE|Crochet Squared

Hi, hope you are having a good day and ready for the first weekend in August. My day hasn’t been great but I’m glad it’s almost over. Bring on the weekend please!

Crochet Squared??? Well, my top is a crochet top and my hairstyle is crochet braids. Knitting seems so cool and I’d like to learn it someday. I can’t even begin to imagine how long it took for this top to be made or are there machines that do that now? I should research that😂

It’s a good thing our photos don’t look like what we’re going through because behind my attempt to dress up, I was sore, tired and hurting from a knee sprain. I ran in the morning and hurt my knee during the run but I had made earlier commitments and I didn’t wanna cancel.

I’ve had this top for a while and I never wore it till this day because every time I wanted to wear it, I ended up putting it back in my closet. This is not a me thing right? I wasn’t into the fact that it’s not fitted and neither is it loose, it’s somewhere in between. I always thought I’d wear it to the beach with shorts and it’ll be perfect but I haven’t been to the beach in a long time. I need the beach air.

When I finally gathered strength to get dressed, this crochet top was the only thing I could find that didn’t need ironing and I had to make it work some how so voila!!!! I paired it with my black high waisted denim pants and black mules.  Then I added a pop of colour with a mostly red vintage scarf and red lippie.

My Mum loved this look even though I didn’t like it much. She doesn’t love things easily so I guess I styled it well. Great job Mariam 👍🏼
