POEM| Another Lonely Night

It’s just another lonely night
and time is taking its time
staring at the ceiling
something to pass the time

It’s just another lonely night
and I’m waiting to hear from you
looking for a distraction
anything to pass the time

It’s just another lonely night
and I’m alone with my aching heart
searching for who to call or text
anyone to pass the time

It’s just another lonely night
and I’m in bed by myself
wondering if I’ll ever wake up next to you
and when these lonely nights will end
