Life Update| September 2022

A lot has happened since my last life update, and I thought about sharing each month’s update in this post, but I doubt I’d capture everything because much time has passed. So, let’s talk about recent happenings.

September started with me having ticked off one personal item on my to-do list. I finally got my eyebrows micro-bladed on the 31st of August. I didn’t have any complaints afterwards, and it’s almost time for me to see if I need any touch-ups. My family and friends think it’s perfect and I love it. I keep wondering why I hadn’t done this since, but anyway, I’ve done it now.

A really pretty bouquet I received in the second week of September

Babysitting is now at the top of the list of my extracurricular activities. Whenever I have some free time, I’d most likely be at my brother’s place with his babies. They are the most adorable and precious part of my life right now, and I’m always happy to help take care of them when it’s needed.

Unfortunately, my writing goals suffered a bit this month. I haven’t published as many posts as I’d have loved to this September. I also haven’t visited any new Place in Lagos to blog about. On the bright side, I’m still writing and sharing short poems on my Instagram, so I’m not all that bad.

I had one good busy weekend where I got to party with friends and went for dinner with my sisters. It had been long since I did that and It felt good to get dolled up and stay out till late late.

A cute neon decor I spotted on my night out

Netflix got me pretty occupied this month and I’m not ashamed to admit that I enjoyed watching Dated & Related. The show had a lot of good looking people on it even though one could easily tell which couple was going to win really early. I thought Love Is Blind: After The Altar was unnecessary, but I watched it😂 Do Revenge was also good but some scenes went too far. House of The Dragon has also been a weekly watch and I’m curious to see how the season ends.

A major highlight of the month was watching The Woman King at the cinema. That movie was everything; funny, action packed, inspirational and relatable. The actors went above and beyond to deliver their lines and it’s one I’ll remember for quite some time. You should go see it if you haven’t. It’s worth the time and money.

Libra season is here!!!! It’s almost October; my birth month and favourite month. My birthday is on a Saturday this year and everyone seems interested in what I’m doing-which is nothing except by some miracle I change my mind. I’m looking forward to a happier, easier, calmer and more productive month.

Stay sane.
