I like clarity.
I like knowing what comes next,
or a semblance of what could come next.
I like to be in charge,
to create, to lead,
to take what’s available,
to take what’s time.

I like precision.
I like to be disciplined,
with a plan in motion.
I like to move,
to learn, to grow,
to be more informed week after week
and not get tired of learning.

I like achieving.
I like to win
and give imposter phenomenon the finger.
I like reaching,
and even surpassing my goals,
wowing myself
and setting a higher target.

I like representing.
I like showing up
and showing out,
becoming better,
doing the things I love,
and seeing what I’m capable of.

Because in all of this,
I am not just chasing goals.

I am building a life
that excites me,
a life that is mine.
