POEM|In Another Life

POEM|In Another Life

On a cold night
After a long day

Back here
Wishing she was miles away

Whispers of the wind
Hiding her tears

Caught in a haze
Wishing to go ablaze

She wipes her eyes
Used to disguise

Her kids play scrabble
While she sets the table

Lost in her thoughts
While dinner is running it’s course

Today is long gone
But tomorrow is a new run

  4. A sad poem but beautifully written! You are very talented! x

    1. Thanks Laura 😊 sad poems come to me easily but I need to mix it up so I’m gonna work on that.

      1. I feel the same. I am not sure why, but it is much easier for me to write something sad. People read my poems and they ask if I am ok. I’m like yeah totally happy – I just write depressing stuff lol!

        1. Lol I’m exactly like that. You’ve challenged me to write happy poems though so I’m gonna try.
