Medusa is a bar, restaurant, lounge and club located in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos. The lounge began operations in December 2020, and they’re currently getting ready for their one-year anniversary celebrations.

Medusa is located around two popular spots in Lekki, but they’ve managed to make a name for themselves amidst the competition around them. It’s probably because of the home away from home vibes it has.

I’ve been to Medusa several times, but I didn’t get a chance to write a review yet because I usually go in the evening. However, I stopped by during the day last month with my sister, Lateefah.

AMBIENCE
Medusa has a mix of sitting areas

• an outdoor bar and lounge area,
• indoor bar and dinning area,
• a cigar room,
• and a club

The outdoor is laid back and bright with a greenery setting, while the indoor is stylishly decorated and furnished with a mix of high and low tables for either drinks or food. The club occupies the entire first floor.

The space has some unique and aesthetically pleasing decor on the roof and wall ms as you can see in the pictures below.

MENU
The food menu has familiar dishes both continental and Nigerian and is organised into nine categories, so there’s something for everyone. The drink menu is also rich with a lot of options.

OUR ORDER
Lateefah chose the Pan Grilled Fish Fillet with a side of jollof rice while I chose Chicken wings and Sweet potato fries.

When my food arrived, I noticed I was served Turkey Wings, but I didn’t complain because I eat Turkey too. The fish was really tasty. I ate half of it and shared two of my wings with Lateefah. The food was thoroughly satisfying and gave us that soul food feel.

SERVICE & CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE
As we walked in, we were ushered to our seats, and a waiter brought us the menu. The wait time was not long, and the meals were tasty. Overall, it was a good experience.

Our damage also included Soda Water and regular water. The restaurant adds taxes to their total bill

Out of 10, I rate Medusa a 7.

Medusa is a great place to grab a quick bite, unwind after work, hang out with your friends or party the night away. If you visit Medusa after reading this, don’t be surprised if it looks different. Some renovation works are ongoing at the moment.
