We were perfect
a match approved by the stars
and the whole galaxy
I saw you in my life
my present, my future,
and everything in between

I did all I could contrive
to make you see me,
want me, and need me
And till this day,
I don’t know why
you didn’t choose me

Your smile
still gladdens my heart
Your face
still haunts my dreams
Your voice
is one I will always miss
